The recent outbreak of the new crown epidemic in India has been widespread, but according to Indian tire manufacturer Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(BKT), its AG and OTR tire manufacturing plants continue to operate at near full capacity.

Rajiv Poddar, joint managing director of BKT, said that all plants are currently running smoothly at an average of 95% of capacity as the company has taken timely measures to minimize the impact of the second coronavirus.

He added that the Indian government had not asked for a shutdown anywhere at the plant and was not expected to do so at a later stage. In addition, due to the pandemic, there will be "no disruption" in supply or shipping to BKT's North American distributors ".

BKT Tire Company is the largest manufacturer of engineering tires in India, and engineering tires are the main product of BKT. According to reports, BKT's factories have been operating at high speeds after a short pause at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
